My Art Journey

My journey as an artist began with a profound respect for the heritage that surrounds me. Based in Lahore, I dedicate my practice to two classical Islamic art forms: Islamic calligraphy and Mughal miniature painting.

In my calligraphic work, I employ the traditional neem-rang medium, working primarily in three classical styles—Thulth, Riq’ah, and Naskh. Each stroke is intentional; every letter carries meaning beyond its linguistic function.

My miniature paintings honor the legacy of the Mughal courts while speaking to contemporary concerns. I blend historical iconography with modern themes, creating visual dialogues between past and present through meticulous detail and vibrant colors.

Art, in my understanding, is a bridge. It connects cultures, speaks to the soul, and fosters harmony in a world often fractured by misunderstanding.
